North Carolina is the third most diverse agricultural economy in the nation. To remain viable, NC farmers must find ways to expand or diversify their agricultural operations. The Lois G. Britt Agribusiness Center at the University of Mount Olive through this project will provide an educational platform for students and the farming community. The proposed project will create an outreach, demonstration, and research facility which will prepare and demonstrate to more than 500 agricultural students and members of the farming community, the knowledge, practices, and viability of multiple crop production and market diversification models.
