Facility located in Hillsborough will provide a full service food processing center for 22 counties. Funds will be used for equipment to be purchased once renovations are complete. Funds are contingent upon other funding sources for which the group has applied.

The funds will be used for cost-share grants to enhance farming operations. Specific counties in the Piedmont and Coastal Plain will be targeted. Approximately 20 individual grants and 10 community grants will be awarded and carried out.
