The NC MarketReady group, based at the Kannapolis research campus will utilize this grant to continue with the successful VAPG initiative which began in 2008. Local food processors can receive cost-share assistance for processing equipment, which will enhance their operations and increase sales. The project emphasizes support for farmers who grow their own food items used for processing.
