The grant will support this custom workforce development initiative. The main goal is to provide financial assistance for short-term training courses that lead to third-party certifications to the unemployed or underemployed residents served. Priority funding of up to $250 will be awarded to students that have previous farming or agriculture work experience and to students that have family members who are current or were former farmers.
