This extension training will be conducted by the NC State University Apiculture Program through the NC Agricultural Foundation. We will provide economic opportunities to growers interested in expanding into bee-dependent crops or into pollination services directly. We will hold numerous BEES Academies in order to train growers and beekeepers in proper apiculture management, as well as several advanced bee-breeding clinics to capitalize on the demand for local queens and nucleus hives. In doing so we will enhance pollination services for growers of bee-dependent crops in the state, as well augment the local community of micro-breeders who promote sustainable local beekeeping.”,”
