The shared use community kitchen is a growing trend in the food industry and is attracting major interest from food entrepreneurs and small businesses. The model we are proposing is a commercial space that has been licensed, certified, and equipped for professional food production and nutrition education demonstrations. The space will be available for rent with users having access to the space and all of the equipment and regulatory compliance it provides. The kitchen will also host cooking demonstrations by Extension Agents and local chefs, educating the public about preparing fresh and local foods purchased at the market.
