ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project) will provide farmers with training and technical assistance on innovative marketing strategies and administer a cost share program to support farmers in the implementation of marketing projects to increase the economic stability and viability of Western North Carolina (WNC) farms. The project will serve small farms in the region; many are limited resource and/or socially disadvantaged. By the end of the project, 200 farmers will have greater knowledge of pertinent marketing trends and of key marketing strategies. 60-80 marketing cost share projects will be implemented supporting a total of 100 to 140 farmers.
