The Wayne County Livestock Development Association aspires to improve agricultural economic viability by providing a multi-use Agriculture Education Center for educational hands on instructional activities and educational exhibits. The center will be created by renovating and changing the design of an existing steel structure that is currently used only during the fair. The renovated center and portable equipment will provide year-round usage for educational activities to accommodate the specific training needs of teachers, students, and producers. These training opportunities will increase the number of individuals prepared to move into current and future jobs and provide producers with training that leads to increased profitability. Well-designed exhibits during the 10-day Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair will increase awareness of where food comes from and the contributions of agriculture to our economy and quality of life.
