NC Cooperative Extension Centers in Bladen, Cumberland, Hoke, and Sampson Counties will purchase a portable cattle working facility that will include a portable squeeze chute with headgate and scales, as well as corral panels and trailer to transport panels. This working facility will be shared among the four counties and will be made available, for a small rental fee, to any cattle producer in those counties. This program will allow farmer to safely and efficiently handle their animals to perform routine management tasks that should increase animal performance and profitably.
