Supporting Small Farm Viability

ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project) will offer farmers a cost share program to support marketing projects with the goal of increasing the economic viability of Western North Carolina farms. Cost share will be paired with training and technical assistance on marketing strategies. The project will serve small farms that have been adversely affected by changes to the tobacco industry with a focus on limited resource and historically disadvantaged farmers. Two hundred farmers will have greater knowledge of marketing trends and marketing strategies, and 60-80 marketing cost share projects will be implemented supporting a total of 100 to 140 farmers.?,?
