Solar Energy Systems Feasibility Study

The North Carolina Agricultural Foundation, Inc. in partnership with the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at NC State will design and install a photovoltaic solar energy system near multiple flue-cured tobacco bulk curing barns at an on-farm location to supplement electrical energy usage and collect performance based information to evaluate the economic feasibility and other potential benefits to flue-cured tobacco operations.
