Small Farmers Value-added Agricultural Opportunities

The Department of Agribusiness at NC A&T SU’s College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences will implement this project to provide access to value-added training for socially disadvantaged farmers throughout the state. These targeted farmers also include former and current tobacco farmers. Through a series of workshop farmers will be empowered with knowledge, skills and resources to develop value-added as an alternative enterprise on their farms. The project outputs will allow more socially disadvantaged farmers to expand their farming enterprises and increase farm income.
