Shady Grove Educational Livestock Facility

The Shady Grove Educational Livestock Facility (SGELF) will serve students, agricultural producers, FFA & 4-H members, and the livestock industry through hands-on education, outreach and research. This facility is designed for practical training of students in agricultural degrees at UMO (Ag Education, Animal Science, Veterinary Bioscience, etc.) and secondary students involved in FFA/4-H thus providing the industry a skilled large animal workforce. The facility will serve as a unique demonstration and training facility for farmers desiring to diversify operations by integrating livestock or improving herd quality through applied trainings in reproductive techniques (AI, ET), forages, nutrition and animal husbandry practices.
