Raising Consumption of NC Sweetpotatoes

Over a two-year period, the North Carolina SweetPotato Commission Foundation will further develop their nutrition influencer program by creating three audience-specific Dietary Toolkits and hosting two Harvest Tours for Registered Dietician Influencers. These projects will increase the consumption of sweetpotatoes by promoting their health benefits resulting in a profitability increase for farms in previously tobacco-dependent North Carolina communities as well as producers and industry professionals adversely affected by changes in the tobacco industry
