Promoting Local Beekeeping in NC

This extension training will be conducted by the NC State University Apiculture Program through the NC Agricultural Foundation. We will provide economic opportunities to growers interested in expanding into bee-dependent crops or into pollination services directly. We will hold numerous BEES Academies in order to train growers and beekeepers in proper apiculture management, as well as several advanced bee-breeding clinics to capitalize on the demand for local queens and nucleus hives. In doing so we will enhance pollination services for growers of bee-dependent crops in the state, as well augment the local community of micro-breeders who promote sustainable local beekeeping.?,?
