NCTTFC Supervised Agricultural Experience Institute
The NCTTFC Supervised Agricultural Institute is a week-long residential camp held at the University of Mount Olive (UMO). The camp will provide industry and leadership training to FFA members who will earn 45 hours of Supervised Agricultural Experience that can be accumulated toward various FFA chapter, state and national awards. The Institute allows students attendees to evaluate various agricultural operations and facilities (agronomic, livestock, processing, natural resources, and power and structural technology systems). FFA members would also be exposed to actual hands-on learning experiences through these activities in the fields of horticulture, agronomy, GPS systems and other areas. The Institute will include chapter advisors, allowing them through attendance to earn 3 hours of Continuing Education Credit as a participant. The Institute would include training opportunities for both FFA members and advisors including training on leadership, proficiencies, students SAEs and other in-service opportunities.
