NC Real Time Network Upgrade

The North Carolina Geodetic Survey operates a network of Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) that correct, in real time, signal disturbances from Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites and other Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). When GPS is used for precision agriculture, surveying, engineering, grading, navigation and other high precision mapping uses the CORS system can be used to improve the accuracy.Funding from this grant will be used to upgrade the GPS/GNSS receivers at CORS located in two (2) tobacco producing counties (Forsyth and Lenoir) and a new CORS in Bertie County.
