Increasing Capacity for Livestock Events

The Cleveland County Fair will purchase commercially manufactured 5-foot vertical bar panels to provide 180 5’x5′ small animal pens for Weathers Livestock Arena. These pens will accommodate our animal exhibit needs during the Fair’s dairy goat, meat goat, and market lamb shows. In addition, the pens will greatly benefit established off-season livestock events including the annual Spring Spectacular Dairy Goat Show and Carolina Country Classic Boer Goat Show by eliminating the cost and risks associated with hauling pens borrowed from NC Mountain State Fair. A fully equipped show facility will attract additional livestock events that generate rental and tax revenues.
