Greenhouse & GreenSpace Education Project

Watauga County Cooperative Extension will construct a 16 x 24 production greenhouse to enhance educational opportunities for small farmers and home horticulturalists to produce their own food, enhance & diversify home & farm production and to distribute plants/vegetable starts to underserved communities. The project will also create & improve additional ‘green spaces’ in the county’s impound lot & space surrounding the Agricultural Services Center to enhance outdoor educational opportunities related to pollinators, proper landscaping practices, and stream/environmental enhancement. Additionally, the project will provide secure storage for shared use farm equipment used by area farmers.
